Elder Wilbert Jackson Jr. is a native of Grifton, NC. He is the third oldest of eight children of the late Wilbert Jackson Sr. and Katherine Harper Jackson. He graduated from Ayden-Grifton High School in Ayden, NC in June1973. Upon graduation he entered the United States Army where he served until July 1993. During his military career he attended the University of Maryland (West Germany Campus) where he majored in Liberal Arts. After retiring from the military he attended Fayetteville Community College where he majored in Business Administration. On July 26, 2008 Elder Jackson graduated Summa Cum Laude from the Greater North Carolina Church of God In Christ Academy in Wendell, NC. It was December 1980 when he accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. After straying away from the faith, Elder Jackson rededicated his life to Jesus Christ on July 12, 1987, and was filled with the Holy Ghost. He recalls shortly after his rededication that the Lord showed him St. Luke Chapter 9 verse 62…And Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plow, and looking back, is Fit for the Kingdom of God.
Elder Jackson married the former Iris Jean Simpson on July 8, 1978. He is the father of two children, one daughter Donyata, and one son Kingsley, one daughter-in-law Cynthia. He has two granddaughters and two grandsons.
Elder Jackson currently resides in. Wendell, NC and is employed by Highland Express Shuttle Service as Vice President of Operations.
Elder Jackson was ordained Elder by Bishop Leroy Jackson Woolard on December 17, 2008 and served as his Assistant Pastor at William Memorial Church of God in Christ, Fayetteville, NC. Other duties at Williams Memorial Church of God in Christ include; Superintendent of Sunday School, member of the Board of Trustees, Member of Young Men Christian Fellowship, Usher, (at the Local and Jurisdictional Level).

On September 7, 2012 Elder Wilbert Jackson Jr. was installed as Pastor of Pentecostal Temple Church of God In Christ, in Plymouth, NC.
